Java Software Engineer
Sammy began working for CDWS as a part time software development assistant in 1997, and one year later became the unit's second full time Software Engineer. In August 1999, Sammy received his Master's degree in Software Engineering from UCF.
He completed the Sun/Oracle Java Developer and IBM XML Programmer Certification program and was promoted to Java Software Engineer in May 2001. Sammy is responsible for all Java and XML related development within the unit, and is currently working on the new MyUCF Portal Web site. In addition, Sammy coordinates software development activities for CDWS, works closely with other full-time developers in the coordination of daily activities in the Advanced Systems Team,
and is working on several internal Web development projects.
He is a member of Java in Administration Special Interest Group (JA-SIG).

- Honorable mention in Davis Productivity Award 2003 for the ePay project
