Hey my name is Jason Buckner. I'm a software developer and Mac nut. I've been doing web development since the web was just a wee child, in the good ole days of HTML 1.0/2.0 (http://www.w3.org/MarkUp/html-spec/) and Mosaic (http://archive.ncsa.uiuc.edu/SDG/Software/Mosaic/NCSAMosaicHome.html). Just kidding, HTML sucked back in the day.

I started programming back on the Apple IIe's and did some Hypercard (http://www.jaedworks.com/hypercard/), Pascal (http://www.pascal-central.com/), and C programming.

I'm currently focusing on web-based programming languages including PHP (http://www.php.net/), Coldfusion (http://www.macromedia.com/coldfusion), JSP (http://java.sun.com), and Javascript. I am very interested in learning AJAX (http://www.adaptivepath.com/publications/essays/archives/000385.php), which is the development style used in Google Maps (http://maps.google.com), GMail (http://gmail.google.com), and Google Suggest (http://suggest.google.com).

I'm a huge Apple (http://www.apple.com) enthusiast. My first computer was the Mac Classic (http://www.lowendmac.com/compact/classic.shtml), the original portable computer. Needless to say, I'm very happy with the current status of Apple. The G5 is a beautiful machine and the iPod is an awesome little player. I still haven't bought one, as I can't justify the price. I'm waiting for the iPod that runs OS X :-)

Outside of Macs, programming, and web-development, I like Scuba diving, water-skiing, and most watersports for that matter, mountain biking (yes I know we don't have mountains in Florida), snow-skiing, which I tried for the first time this New Years, ultimate frisbee, and pretty much any other sport. I'm always down for a game of Texas Hold Em or Halo 2.

I'm also interested in environmental issues, particularly clean energy, which we sorely need, politics, and world news in general. I'm a news junkie. Fark (http://www.fark.com) and Google News (http://news.google.com) are my two favorite sources.
